Boko Haram: 20 killed four injured as troops, terrorists clash in Lake Chad region.


Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) troops operating around the Lake Chad region on Tuesday killed 20 Boko Haram terrorists around the general area of ​​Arege,
 Malkonory and Tumbum Rego.

A statement issued by the MNJTF Military Public Information Chief, Colonel Timothy Antigha, indicated that the success recorded was in continuing the ongoing
operation to expel terrorists from the Islamic State operating in the area.

"In the continuation of ongoing offensive operations to expel terrorists from the Islamic State of the Lake Chad Area, Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF)
 troops in conjunction with national forces neutralized more than 20 terrorists operating around Arege, General Area of Malkonory and Tumbum Rego.

"Unfortunately, four MNJTF officials were injured during the firefight and were evacuated to urgent medical attention.

According to Colonel Antigha, several trucks of weapons, weapons and ammunition, as well as an improvised explosive device, which was supposed to halt the advance
 of the troops, were also destroyed.

He assured that the MNJTF remains committed to the delivery of the mandate of the force and therefore called for continued support and solidarity from the good people
 of the Lake Chad Region
